Welcome

Welcome to the BEACON ACADEMY!

Whether you are a member of our current Beacon Academy community, someone interested in learning more about our wonderful school, or another educational professional, we are so happy that you decided to stop at our web page!

The Beacon Academy is a school like no other. How is that possible?

Beacon Academy is only four years old, taking a novel approach to education in Philippines.

Beacon Academy, unlike any other school in this island-filled nation, is an International Baccalaureate World School, ™ authorized to offer both the Middle Years Programme, and the Diploma Programme. In this inquiry-based, student-centered, globally minded and comprehensive curriculum, universities and colleges around the world recognize students who learn within the IB Programme.

At Beacon Academy, we are doing more with that rigorous IB curriculum because of the way we teach, employing the Harkness™ methodology. We put students and teachers as equals throughout our school, learning together in small groups–in classrooms, working collaboratively on projects on our hillside and in our wider community, and in discussions in our cafeteria.

At Beacon Academy we hold ourselves to the highest standards of excellence in all that we do, exhibiting a sense of mutual respect, compassion, citizenship and integrity.

Beacon Academy—come visit us, explore our web page, or contact us. We would love to meet you.

Come see what an internationally minded, student-centered, excellent education is all about!

Ms. Marty T. Elkins
Head of School

On this day, we cordially invite parents to come to The Academy either in the morning or the afternoon, attend some informational sessions on the Academic programs and School Life programs, and attend a few classes.
