Beacon Student Wins First Prize in Film Competition

Beacon Academy is proud to announce that Bettina Campomanes, one of our Grade 11 students, was the winner of the International Baccalaureate’s recent Academic Honesty Film Competition.

This competition was open to students from all over the world with 36 entries coming in from Canada, China, France, Greece, Guatemala, India, Japan, Switzerland, Great Britain, and the USA. Bettina’s film ‘Reluctance’ was awarded the best in competition and the judges were quoted saying that that her film was “the most reflective and creative film on the topic, was appropriate to the target audience and showed great technical quality.”
